a few weeks ago I told you how much I enjoyed The Family Jewels (my partner is now reading it and likes it very much, and he's not a big reader) - just finished Naughty Astronautess and it was even better - funny, with some nice messages. Really, really enjoyable; sorry that I've finished it for now I can't look forward to picking it up again each day. Any word on the final chapter of Glamour Galore?

Dearest Bumble-Bee girl,

To me, you are always the ageless beauty in whom I delight throughout time.

Mr. Leo and I have already discussed our trip to ogle the loot in San Diego next May and yes, we will be there. While we are at it, we will be visiting with Leo's family and other friends in Southern Cal. So book us now for and extended sojourn.

We will be traveling with a small entourage since Lilly Linda Le Strange reads all my emails, she insists on comming along with at least Betty the Bounder to spray her wigs, some say with Lysol. I know the Le Strange dame well enough to know it is not you or me she has in mind but your hubby, Swami Bobby. Lilly is mad to meet her director for the upcoming movie of Naughty Astronautess. She wants to tell him what she wants and how to do it. I am sure they will get along fine.

If Madame Le Strange even suggest she "borrow" any of the jewels from your museum for her appearance on Oscar's red carpet, then call security immediately! The dame's not to be trusted!

All that aside, all of your fans here, I had a guest list of 240 important Bostonians all clamoring to meet the Jewel Queen of San Diego, anyway they all say, "Huzzah! Drink stinky Chinese herbs and, get over it Girl!"

Darling! Was I ever that young?!
You have painted a lovely picture of our wonderful and all too brief visit together. I look forward to seeing you again soon in Boston (this time I mean it) and of course your room here is always ready; you are welcome anytime! At the very latest, please come for the exhibit opening a year from now!

Iory, you've done it again! Naughty is absolutely the greatest fun! Thank you for the inscription, too. Years ago Leo and I were talking about Mexican herbs, and I talked about when I lived in Patzcuaro. Read your blog about your trip last year and it took me back to 1959, when my then husband, the artist Ronald Julius Christensen, and I, with our two young children, drove to Mexico for "cheap living". Would love to talk to you about how the town is now. Love to you and Leo.
